One of the most famous culinary exports is Jollof Rice which is a tomato-based one-pot rice dish similar to Jambalaya.

For families with children, Ghana has several top tier international schools. Whether you want your child in the American, German, French, or British system there is an option for you. Schools offer the IB, A-levels, AP, and other internationally recognized programs. There are also several SAT and TOEFL test centers and tutors are available upon request.

The international schools also have a diverse student population so your children will be introduced to new cultures making them worldly citizens and allowing them to expand their international connections. Ghana is a great place for those looking to pick up a second language. There are several schools which offer French classes for both adults and children.

Starting a business in Ghana, just like in any country, can be a daunting task. There is a lot to complete to get up and running. Luckily, you can count on support from the chamber of commerce. Another reason why this is the perfect time to start a business in Ghana. Because of huge events such as the year of return, there are several market opportunities. It may seem confusing at first but registering and starting a business is straight forward as long as you have a solid plan.

5. Amazing Weather

It’s always warm and sunny in Accra! Typically the country is hot and humid however at the end of the year (November, December, January) there is a dry season and in the middle of the year (May, June, July) is the rainy season. Whether you like lounging poolside, going for long morning hikes, or curling up with a good book, the temperature is always right.
